Brethren:

Congratulations to Brother Thomas Warren who was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason August 14, 2010 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Alexandria, VA. Hiram #21 served as the host lodge for the event. I would like to personally thank all those Brothers who traveled, participated in, and observed this most memorable evening.

Sept, 7th we will confer the Master Mason's Degree on Brother Brian Mitchell King.

At our September Stated Communication we will be honoring a 25 and 50 year veteran. We will also be holding special elections. Our Junior Warden, Lowrie Tucker, has resigned his office due to a change in his work schedule and the travel that is required of his new position. I want to thank Brother Tucker for his support this year and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

As our busy year continues with new petitions, ritual work, and travel, I am grateful to be engaged in such an active lodge and the support shown. The influence of the Lodge reaches far beyond our members to everyone we come in contact with. I am proud to be associated with men of good character, who take Masonry beyond the door of the Lodge room.

Our calendar is full, with opportunities for us to be of service to each other. Come out to participate in degree work, or fill the sidelines and welcome our new members. If you would like to serve as a mentor or coach, please contact me. It is one of the most enjoyable experiences Freemasonry has to offer. Those who serve our new brethren build a bond of lasting friendship and brotherly love.

I hope this finds everyone well, and I look forward to seeing and greeting each of you next month. Good refreshments and fellowship will follow, so mark your calendars and plan to be with us.

Finally Brethren, May the God of Peace and Love delight to dwell with and bless you.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Terry R. Shaffer
Master
