Brethren:

It was a pleasure to see everyone this past month. Thanks to all for braving the weather. These last few weeks have been remarkable. I hope and pray everyone has been safe.

Congratulations to Wor. Br. Chip Bennett and Wor. Br. Doug Cochran upon their selection for recommendation for appointment to the office of DDGM and Alternate DDGM, respectively for 2012. Also, congratulations are in order to Wor. Larry Renner and RW. James Golladay who were elected as Honorary Members in Winchester Hiram Lodge #21.

As you can see, we have a busy month ahead in March. Take notice of the fraternal visits. We need at least five (5) Brethren to receive credit for a fraternal visit. I would like to say thank you to the Brethren who traveled to Spurmont Lodge #98 in February. We will have the honor and pleasure of the Valley of Virginia York Rite College #161 Degree Team as they will confer the Fellowcraft Degree scheduled on Mar 16.

Our degree work in March continues to be busy and so continue to have the need for Brethren, who know or would like to learn a ritual part to come and participate in degree work, or to fill the sidelines and welcome our new members. If you would like to serve as a coach or mentor, please contact me. It is one of the most enjoyable experiences Freemasonry has to offer. Those who serve our Brethren build a bond of lasting brotherly love and friendship.

I encourage all to come to the March Stated meeting. The District Deputy Grand Master will make his official visit. Let us show our support. Of course, good refreshments and fellowship will follow, so mark your calendars and plan to be with us.

Don’t forget to visit our website: http:\\www.winchesterhiram21.org

Finally Brethren, May the God of Peace and Love delight to dwell with and bless you.

Sincerely and fraternally,

Terry R. Shaffer
Master
