ISAAC NEWTON GOOD MASONIC SCHOLARSHIP
"I. N. Good Scholarship"
Over the years the Winchester Masonic Lodge has provided
thousands of dollars of scholarship money to local high school students in
the Winchester and Frederick County area. The purpose of the
scholarship is to help young people to continue their studies in higher
education.
The scholarship award is $1000
dollars per student per year for up to four years of attendance at a
college or university of the student's choice. The scholarship is awarded to one student from the
following high schools:
John Handley * James Wood * Sherando * Millbrook
The scholarship is named after Brother Isaac Newton Good who
was one of our beloved Master Masons in Winchester Hiram #21 Masonic Lodge.
Brother Good endowed a fund that could be only used for awarding scholarship
funds for high school students in the Winchester and Frederick County area.
Brother Good had a strong belief in education and helping the community.
